Privacy Policy
Who we are
Chillie Boot Media (“CBM”, “we”, “us”) is a South African marketing and automation agency. We build advertising campaigns, content systems, and workflow automations for our clients, and in doing so we may process personal information belonging to our clients’ customers and prospects — for example, someone who submits a lead form on a Facebook or Instagram ad we manage.
What information we collect
Depending on the service, we may collect and process:
- Contact details submitted through lead ad forms (name, phone number, email address)
- Engagement data from social media pages we manage (comments, messages, page interactions)
- Basic advertising performance data (which ad or form generated a lead)
We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or financial account data) through these channels.
How we use it
Information collected through our systems is used solely to:
- Route new leads to the relevant client for follow-up
- Record and report on advertising campaign performance
- Operate the automations our clients have engaged us to build
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use lead data for any purpose beyond delivering it to the client whose ad generated it.
How it’s stored and who can access it
Data collected through our automation systems is processed via n8n (a workflow automation platform) and may pass through Meta’s Graph API, Google Sheets, and WhatsApp Business messaging, depending on the client. Access is limited to CBM staff directly involved in running the relevant client’s campaign, and to the client themselves.
Your rights
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. See the Data Deletion section below for how to submit a request.
Data Deletion Instructions
If you’d like Chillie Boot Media to delete personal information we hold about you — for example, because you submitted a lead form through one of our clients’ ads — you can request deletion in either of the following ways:
Option 1 — Email request
Send an email to the address below with the subject line “Data Deletion Request,” including your name and the phone number or email address you used when submitting the form. We will confirm and action deletion requests within 14 days.
Option 2 — Via Facebook
If your data was submitted through a Facebook or Instagram lead ad, you can also request removal directly through your Facebook Off-Facebook Activity settings, or by messaging the relevant client’s Facebook Page directly.
